Whas the difference between EPS,EPP,EPO,EPE?

 

1. EPP, a polypropylene plastic foam material, is a highly crystalline polymer material with excellent performance, and an environmentally friendly compression resistant cushioning and insulation material. EPP products have excellent seismic and energy absorption performance, high recovery rate after deformation, good heat resistance, chemical resistance, oil resistance, and thermal insulation. In addition, they are lightweight and can significantly reduce the weight of items.

The application field of EPP is becoming increasingly widespread. IT products, electronic communication equipment, LCD displays, plasma color TVs, precision electronic components, precision instruments and meters have all started to use EPP as packaging materials in large quantities. Another particularly important application field is a large number of applications in the automobile industry: automobile bumpers, automobile side shock absorbers, automobile door shock absorbers, advanced safety car seats, Child safety seat, tool boxes, boot, armrests, bottom cushion plates, Sun visor, instrument panels, etc

According to statistical data, the current average usage of plastic per car is 100-130kg, with approximately 4-6 kg of EPP plastic used.

2. EPE refers to foamed polyethylene, also known as pearl cotton. It is a new type of environmentally friendly packaging material. It is composed of a large number of independent bubbles generated by physical foaming of low-density polyethylene grease. It can be extruded or foamed into sheets, sheets, or pipes, and then stamped, cut, and bonded into shape. It has good toughness, is not easy to crack, and has good cushioning performance.

 

3. EPS, polystyrene, also named styrofoam, is made through processes such as pre release, aging, molding, drying, and cutting. It can not only be made into foam plastic products with different densities and shapes, but also produce foam plates with different thicknesses. Widely used in construction, insulation, packaging, refrigeration, daily necessities, industrial casting and other fields.

 

4. EPO, a mixture of foamed polystyrene and polyethylene, is a "copolymer" produced by a special polymerization process, with a relatively new composition and structure, consisting of 30% polyethylene and 70% polystyrene. The PE component is mainly distributed in the outer layer of particles, promoting plasticization and bonding between particles, while the PS component is mainly distributed inside the particles, providing good support for the bubble structure.

 

EPP foam is one of the most widely used foams. Although its market share cannot be compared with that of traditional foam materials, with the improvement of environmental protection requirements, EPP will be more widely used. Currently, EPP is widely used in industries such as packaging, automobiles, and toys.

 

Firstly, for the motion of hand thrown aircraft, the weight requirement of the model is high, and the lighter the weight, the longer it can be. For the Model aircraft with the same volume, the weight of EPP is lower, and the flight effect is better than the traditional foam model.

EPP material is better than ordinary foam plastic in aircraft model, lighter, stronger and less easily damaged. So there are many aircraft models made of EPP material.
